Wes Crawford, Abilene Christian University

Wes Crawford is Associate Professor and Associate Dean of the Graduate School of Theology at Abilene Christian University. His scholarship focuses on race and racism in the history of Churches of Christ. He is the author of Shattering the Illusion: How African American Churches of Christ Moved from Segregation to Independence (ACU Press, 2013) and Courage in the Sheer Silence: Challenging Racism in 20th-Century Churches of Christ (ACU Press, 2025).
